Passivhaus refurbishment of the Mayville Community Centre

Construction of the Mayville Community Centre is now progressing well on site with construction of the new super insulated roof nearing completion. All Metal Roofing have completed the zinc works on the north facing side of the main roof with works to the south roof well underway this week. The opening triple glazed roof lights have been installed and the 4×2m triple glazed fixed lights are due to be craned into position in the next 2 weeks.Bere:architects, in conjunction with Paul Jennings, held a session on site to guide the main contractor and site carpenters through the best practice passivhaus approach for installing the Bayer windows. These works will all lead up to preparing the building for the first air test which is due to be carried out by Paul in mid-March.
