SAVING CARBON + MONEY = WARMER HOMES + HEALTHIER RESIDENTS

As a follow on from the 'Why Choose Passive House?' event on 15th April 2013, bere:architects in association with Hounslow Homes are providing the opportunity for attendees of the evening event as well as other keen industry professionals to visit this retrofitted house in Hounslow, refurbished by bere:architects with Technology Strategy Board funding and completed in 2011.

By applying Passive House techniques such as the use of triple glazed windows and a heat recovery ventilation system, this existing home can now provide improved thermal comfort, reduced energy bills and lower CO2 emissions for its elderly occupants. This event provides a valuable opportunity to see low cost Passive House principles applied to a social housing retrofit in London.

The morning will consist of hourly presentation and tour slots starting at 9am, 10am and 11am with a presentation by Justin Bere, bere:architects and Rory Prendergast, Environmental Advisor for Hounslow Homes.
