Office Life

As a Christmas stocking filler the cyclists at bere:architects’ office (90% of employees cycle) were given high-tech anti-pollution masks, called the Totobobo SuperCool.

Enjoying the sun at the start of spring, bere:architects have broken out of the office and begun using the garden furniture again! Our hot lunches are supplied daily by Mother Earth, a London based health food store located down the road. This is the perfect time of year to be outside to appreciate the new growth from the roof top plants bursting into life and the birds feeding from the numerous feeders dotted around the terrace.

Camden Passivhaus Monitoring

It has just been announced that two more of bere:architects’ projects have been awarded funding to undergo two years of research and monitoring as part of the Technology Strategy Board’s Building Performance Evaluation programme.

Stuart Caunt started an awareness campaign in the bere:architects office to stop us chucking our batteries into the bin and ultimately into landfill. After 6 months of putting our batteries into the jar on Stuart’s desk, we gathered quite a sizeable collection. The sight of this growing collection is a continual reminder to think about ways of avoiding using batteries. The next task will be to see how easy it is to get the batteries disposed of in an environmentally satisfactory way.
